The Christian life is intentional at every level. We have been brought out of death into life. Therefore a commitment is needed in order to develop a close bond with our Lord. This bond grows as we grow in close proximity to Christ. And as we experience him at every level in life, especially at the rough edges of life. There we proved him to be true. These rough patches become spiritual markers where we can know his presence even though we do not feel it. This is a apriori spirituality. I know he is there because he was there before. This too is bilical spirituality at its greatest. Imagine. He is there at all times, and my feeling world has nothing to do about it.
Orthodox is often define as Right Opinion, or Right Doctrine. I have an interesting orthodoxy in that, like everyone else, it is peculiar to me. The question begging is, in the 21st century, what is considered to be within the bounds of true orthodoxy and what does not. Are we truly within the era of personal perspective or not? I have a few non- negotiables within my orthodoxy;
The bodily resurrection of Jesus
The Word of God is my only guideline for truth and for practice.

Salvation is by faith and not by works.
Lets talk about orthodoxy. Any views out there?
